History of brow lifts. Part One. Browlifts have been around for more than 130 years, and the basic idea is to bring the eyebrows up to look fresh and rejuvenated.
In the 1920s, plastic surgeons would actually cut out a little bit of skin and pull everything up, but this method didn't have longevity because it was just held by the scar, and everything would eventually drop. In the 1930s, the coronal brow lift evolved, an incision across your whole head, removing the piece of skin and moving everything up.
